UT Austin sponsors Apple Developer programs for the creation of iOS applications which will be distributed internally or publicly. Program participation is extended to qualified UT Austin staff. Applications intended for public distribution require authorization by UT Austin and must follow proposal review and approval processes.

This program is for specific use cases that require private distribution directly to employees using secure internal systems or through a Mobile Device Management solution.

It serves as the official app store for certified devices running on the Android operating system and its derivatives as well as Chrome OS, allowing users to browse and download applications developed with the Android software development kit (SDK) and published through Google.
