- Follow Google’s instructions for signing in to multiple accounts at once if you are having trouble viewing storage for the correct account.
If you do not have enough storage in your personal Google Account to hold all your UTmail email and Drive files, you can add storage to the 15 GB standard storage plan. For more information about Google Storage plans for your personal account, please visit https://one.google.com/about/plans.

Forwarding Email from a Personal UTmail Account
This section is designed to help you set up automatic forwarding from your UTmail account to your personal Google account. There are a few things to consider before setting up automatic forwarding:
- You can only forward messages for a single Gmail address, and not an email group or alias.
- You may not forward email from a UTmail instructional account (business account) per UT policy.
To set up automatic forwarding from your UTmail account, you need to sign in to your UTmail Google Account and verify the forwarding in your personal Google Account.
1. On your computer, go to Google Account Inbox and sign in with your UTmail account.
2. In the top right, click the Settings icon .
3. Click See all settings.

7. Confirm your forwarding address, then click Proceed.
8. A verification message will be sent to that address. Click Ok.
9. Go to Google Account Inbox and sign in with your personal account.
10. Open the UTmail Forwarding Confirmation email message from UTmail. Note: If you chose to forward to a non-Gmail address, you will need to log in to that account to view the confirmation email.
You can either:
- Click the confirmation link in the email to return to your UTmail account settings.
or - Copy the confirmation code in the email.
-
- Go back to the settings page for your UTmail account and select the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
- Enter the confirmation code from your personal email account and click Verify.
- Go back to the settings page for your UTmail account and select the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
11. Returning to your UTmail account settings, under the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab, select the option for Forward a copy of incoming mail to your personal email account and choose what you want to happen with the Gmail copy of your emails.
You have the following options for what happens to the Gmail copy of your emails:
a. Keep UTmail mail’s copy in the Inbox.
b. Mark UTmail mail’s copy as read.
c. Archive UTmail mail’s copy.
d. Delete UTmail mail’s copy. RECOMMENDED: Select this option to avoid going over the 1 GB quota if you don’t routinely log in to your UTmail account to delete emails.
12. At the bottom of the page, click Save changes.
13. Note: Don’t forget to manage UTmail emails you received before you set up forwarding; you may have to delete messages to be under the 1 GB storage quota on your UTmail account.
