(Stonebranch) Create a Database Connection
Overview
Details the steps required to create a Database Connection for customer request fulfillment.
Prerequisites
Customer has been successfully onboarded and has submitted a request to the provider team to create a Database Connection Object
Notes
Details
Creating a Database Connection Object
The client request should have included a name (matching naming standards), an optional description, the kind of database (Oracle, MySQL, etc.) and a connection URL; this last should have been provided to the client by the database team. (See the note above.) Go to the Database Connection panel (see menu screenshot at right) and select new and fill in the appropriate fields (see image at right.) We attach credentials to the task, not the connection object, so leave that field blank. Click “Save” to create the new connection object.
Changing a Database Connection Object
Go to the Database Connection tab as described above, select the connection object to modify, change the appropriate fields, and click “Update”.
Removing a Database Connection Object
Go to the Database Connection tab as described above, select the connection object to remove, and click “Delete”.
